Altar servers are youth who assist the Priest during Mass. Tasks performed include carrying the Cross at the beginning and end of Mass and ringing the bells during the Liturgy of the Eucharist. This Ministry is an excellent opportunity for our youth to receive active learning of the Liturgy.

The Patron Saint of Altar Servers is Saint John Berchmans. Born in 1599 in Belgium he was the eldest son of a shoemaker. Saint John was an altar server in his youth and later became a Jesuit Priest. He was canonized in 1888.

Altar Servers: Holy Family Church is looking for young girls and young boys to join this ministry. We are therefore calling on our young people, 3rd grade and above to consider becoming altar servers. Altar servers are an essential part of the Mass and a special way to participate and serve the Parish Community.
