In our increasingly global community, we all have personal connections with countries overseas – whether that’s through family, travel or prayer. Missio (the Pope’s charity for world mission) supports the Church in 157 countries around the world.
Today, parishes worldwide celebrate World Mission Sunday. By supporting Missio we stand united as God’s global family, in prayer, solidarity and action. We are called to be ‘Missionaries Of Hope Among All Peoples’ as everyone deserves to hear that God loves them and to be strengthened by God’s Spirit.

Please pray for missionaries and give what you can to this vital collection, bringing God’s compassion, peace and justice to those in need. Special offertory envelopes are available in the lobby of the Church.
Prayer to Jesus – Missionary of Hope
Oh Jesus, Divine Missionary of Hope, your heart speaks to us of love. Your life offers us life in abundance, your resurrection, an eternal future!
Through your missionary disciples, come and embrace the entire world. Look upon our sisters and brothers; the billions who are poor and afflicted.
May your Church take up humanity’s cry among all peoples. May she extend your mission of love, of salvation and peace, to comfort us.
Help us respond to this urgent call, as courageous messengers and builders, firmly anchored in Hope, with our eyes fixed upon you, Lord.
