Advent – Prepare Your Heart.   St. Kateri Tekakwitha Parish is offering an opportunity to enter into the Advent Season by offering two Prayer Sessions facilitated by Fr. Bill and Pam Breau. The first prayer session will be on November 12th and the second on November 26th. Both sessions will be held at Holy Family Church beginning at 7pm.

In the first two sessions we will explore ways of praying with Scripture as spiritual practice. An opportunity for prayer, reflection and small group discussion will shape the sessions.

As Advent begins, we will also be offering each week an evening of prayer, reflection and small group discussions based on scriptures. This year’s sessions will be based on the Book of Daily Devotions, “Advent with the Saints”, prepared by Fr. Greg Friedman a Franciscan Friar, pilgrim guide and retreat presenter. Each day includes selected scripture readings, a reflection and a simple spiritual practice. Through these reflections we are invited to, ‘slow down, pay attention and prepare our hearts.’

Our first Advent Session will be held on Thursday, December 3rd at 7pm at Holy Family Church. Join us as we prepare our hearts for Advent—first with two preparatory prayer sessions in November, followed by small group discussions once Advent begins.
