3rd Sunday of Advent
Reflection

The Lord rejoices when we invite him to come into our lives.
The Lord rejoices each time he renews us in his love.
The Lord rejoices because the time of waiting is over.

Jesus, send your Holy Spirit upon us so we will be united by bonds of solidarity with Indigenous people.

The third candle of Advent is pink and stands for “Joy”. It is sometimes called the Shepherd’s Candle, for the joy the Shepherds received at hearing the news of the birth of Jesus.

Give thanks to the lord for he is good, his steadfast love lasts forever.
Psalm 136:1

Help us to be a community who radiate the light of joy into the lives of others..

2nd Sunday of Advent
Reflection

Those of steadfast mind you keep in peace
— in peace because they trust in you.
 (Isaiah 26:3-4)

Lord, bring the peace of your kingdom to every corner of the earth!

This Advent, let us embrace Jesus, the Prince of Peace, in our hearts.

Mary, Mother of God, thank you for your pure witness of spiritual poverty and devotion to God. Help us become more like you.

The second candle of Advent is purple and stands for “Peace”. It reminds us of the message of the angels: “Peace on Earth, Good Will Toward Men!”.

Help us to be a community who radiate the light of peace into the lives of others.

1st Sunday of Advent Reflection

I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word, I hope. (Psalm 130:5)

Lord encourage us to share our Advent with those around us – the lonely, the last and the least.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We need always to have our spiritual ears and eyes open to detect the coming of the Lord. Lord, send us your Holy Spirit to keep your disciples attuned to your presence.
The first candle of Advent is purple and stands for “Hope”. It is sometimes called the Prophet’s Candle in remembrance of the prophets, especially Isaiah, who foretold the birth of Christ.
Help us to be a community who radiate the light of hope into the lives of others.
